Malo e lelei Bailey, malo for posting your maths strategy. I have another strategy and that is instead of using 8+8+8+8+8=40 I can use 8X5=40. Repeated addition is multiplication spread out. I strongly suggest you start learning your times tables. I am sure you know some already as your brother in my class is very confident in using this times tables to solve problems.
